The Mobile Chiropractic Practice

Although most chiropractors have a traditional office for use as a home base for their practice, several are seeing the advantages of taking their practice on the road.  Many patients who are elderly and cannot drive, those in nursing facilities and hospitals are not easily able to visit your chiropractic office, and so instead you can bring your services to your clients with a mobile chiropractic practice.

In order to do so, however, you will need to bring with you the types of equipment and technology that you would have access to at your home office, in order to provide your patients with the best possible care.  It is for this reason that many chiropractors choose mobile x-ray in DR and CR formats as their Chiropractic x-ray system of choice.

One of the many benefits that comes from using mobile digital x-ray equipment is that with a CR or DR system, every image you take out on the road will be compatible with your digital imaging equipment back at your office.  You won’t need to make any additional investments in special mobile equipment, a convenience that comes from digital imaging systems.

The digital images that you take out in the field will be able to be read on your clinical workstations, although you can set up a laptop computer with wireless access and running on a PACS system in order to view and send your patients’ digital x-rays back to the home office for consultations, referrals and archiving purposes, even when you are out and about, away from the office.

Another advantage that you will enjoy with mobile digital x-ray systems is that they are sturdy yet lightweight.  This is important due to the transporting of equipment that occurs in a mobile practice setting.  It simply makes it easier every time you need to load and unload digital x-ray equipment.

CR and DR units also come with wheeled carts, so that you can more easily get the equipment to the patient.  Because the units are designed with mobility in mind, they typically offer a much smaller footprint than systems you might use in your spacious home office, making them much easier to use in unfamiliar locales and will take up less room in your medical van or other form of transportation.
